Recap: Oakland vs. North Dakota St

Rochester, MI (Sports Network) - Duke Mondy finished with 16 points, including the game-winning jumper with 22 seconds remaining to lift the Oakland Golden Grizzlies to a 66-63 win over the North Dakota State Bison in Summit League action at Athletics Center O'rena.

Travis Bader led the way with 23 points for Oakland (12-13, 7-4 Summit), while Ryan Bass and Drew Valentine scored 11 and 10 points, respectively. The Grizzlies have now won a season-high four straight games, and it was head coach Greg Kampe's 500th career win.

For NDSU (18-6, 9-3), Lawrence Alexander tallied 21 points and seven assists, TrayVonn Wright recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Marshall Bjorklund had 12 points and nine boards. The Bison have lost three straight road games.

Oakland carried a 35-26 advantage into intermission behind a 50 percent field goal shooting effort in the first half. NDSU shot 44 percent in the opening 20 minutes but went only 2-of-11 from 3-point range.

The Grizzlies continued to lead for most of the second half until the Bison used an 8-0 run to take a 63-59 advantage with just over two minutes remaining. NDSU would go scoreless the rest of the way however, and Mondy's bucket in the final minute proved to be the game-winner.

Oakland committed just six turnovers on the night and outscored NDSU from the foul line, 14-7.
