Recap: Western Ky vs. Arkansas State

Bowling Green, KY (Sports Network) - Trey Finn recorded a game-high 23 points as the Arkansas State Red Wolves defeated the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, 67-49, in Sun Belt Conference action at E.A. Diddle Arena.

Finn added seven rebounds in the Red Wolves' (15-9, 9-6 SBC) victory. Brandon Peterson chipped in nine points and 10 boards, while Ed Townsel contributed 11 points off the bench as Arkansas State won for the fourth time in the last five games.

For the Hilltoppers (13-12, 7-7), T.J. Price contributed 21 points, seven boards, and four assists, but he was the only player in double-figures as Western Kentucky snapped a two-game winning streak.

Neither team shot greater than 40 percent from the field in the first half, but Arkansas State made 5-of-10 from beyond the arc en route to a 30-25 advantage at the break.

Arkansas State outshot WKU from the field in the second half, 45.8 percent to 33.3 percent, as it pulled away for the 18-point victory.

WKU committed just 11 turnovers, but Arkansas State turned those miscues into 20 points.
