Recap: Arkansas State vs. Troy

Jonesboro, AR (Sports Network) - Brandon Peterson tallied 15 points, nine rebounds and four blocks as the Arkansas State Red Wolves downed the Troy Trojans, 58-50, in a Sun Belt Conference clash at the Convocation Center.

Trey Finn added 13 points for ASU (18-9, 12-6 Sun Belt), which has won four straight games.

For Troy (11-18, 6-12), Antoine Myers led all scorers with a career-high 21 points, while Hunter Williams netted 10 points. The Trojans, who shot just 29.2 percent from the field, have lost three in a row.

ASU struggled from the field in the first half (.320), but it drained three 3- pointers and went 6-of-6 from the foul line. It also held the Trojans to a woeful 7-of-27 from the floor (.259) as it went into intermission with a 25-14 lead.

The Red Wolves extended their lead to as many as 17 midway through the second half, and Troy would never get closer than seven the rest of the way.

Troy struggled mightily from beyond the arc, making just 3-of-20 from 3-point range.
