Brookings, SD (Sports Network) - Nate Wolters scored 28 points and dealt out six assists to propel the South Dakota State Jackrabbits to a 64-55 victory over the Western Illinois Leathernecks in a Summit League tilt at Frost Arena.

Brayden Carlson chimed in with 11 points and eight boards as SDSU won its final home game to finish 13-0 at Frost Arena on the campaign.

Ceola Clark tallied 20 points, four assists, and four rebounds for WIU (19-6, 11-3), which had won its previous three contests. Adam Link added 12 points while Terell Parks managed to register nine points and eight boards.

Neither side produced an impressive shooting display in the opening 20 minutes of action. WIU went 8-of-21 from the field and earned only one free-throw attempt while the Jackrabbits shot just 29 percent from the floor in the first half. SDSU managed to go 4-of-9 from 3-point range before the break to take a 25-19 lead into halftime.

The scoring picked up after the intermission as the Leathernecks heated up to connect on 60 percent of their field goal tries. Although SDSU shot a lesser 58.3 percent from the floor in the second stanza, it outscored the visitors, 6-3, at the free-throw line to extend its lead before the final buzzer.

The Jackrabbits finished the contest with 12 assists to six turnovers while WIU handed out 13 assists to 10 miscues.
