Recap: Elon vs. Wofford

Elon, NC (Sports Network) - Jack Isenbarger scored a team-high 17 points as the Elon Phoenix defeated the Wofford Terriers, 68-61, in Southern Conference action at Alumni Gym.

Isenbarger also recorded six boards and three assists for Phoenix (11-7, 4-2 SoCon) as they notched their third consecutive victory. Lucas Troutman produced 16 points and six boards, while Tanner Samson added 10 points.

For the Terriers (7-12, 1-5), Lee Skinner recorded a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds. Karl Cochran netted 18 points and Spencer Collins scored 14 points, but it was not enough as Wofford suffered their third loss in a row.

Wofford converted 13-of-14 at the charity stripe and held the Phoenix to 35.7 percent shooting from the floor in the opening period to take a 29-27 lead into the intermission.

Elon heated up after the break to connect on 59.1 percent of its shots from the floor, including 5-of-12 from beyond the arc. The Terriers were able to sink only 36.7 percent of their field goal tries in the final 20 minutes.

Wofford lost despite holding a 33-30 edge in the rebounding battle and submitting a 21-of-23 display at the free throw line.
