Recap: Louisiana vs. ULM

Lafayette, LA (Sports Network) - Bryant Mbamalu scored 24 points to lead six players in double figures as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns routed the ULM Warhawks, 90-66, in a Sun Belt Conference bout at the Cajundome.

Elfrid Payton had 15 points and seven assists, Alan-Michael Thompson notched 12 points, Shawn Long had 11 points to match 11 rebounds, Elridge Moore contributed 11 points and Steven Wronkoski chipped in 10 points for Louisiana (9-16, 4-9 Sun Belt) which had lost four of its previous five games.

Trent Mackey tallied 20 points and Amos Olatayo dropped in 15 for ULM (3-17, 2-12) which has lost nine straight.

Louisiana went into the break leading 37-31 after shooting 48.1 percent from the floor in the first half, including a 5-of-10 effort from beyond the arc. ULM hit just 41.4 percent of its shots in the first 20 minutes.

The Ragin' Cajuns improved to 55.9 percent shooting in the second half and hit another five triples to coast to the victory.

Louisiana had a 27-10 edge in points off turnovers and led by as many as 28 points.
