Recap: Western Ky vs. ULM

Bowling Green, KY (Sports Network) - George Fant scored 15 points and pulled down nine rebounds as the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers posted a 75-57 win over the Warhawks of ULM in Sun Belt Conference action at E.A. Diddle Arena.

Also scoring 15 points for the Hilltoppers (14-14, 8-9 Sun Belt) was T.J. Price, adding seven boards, five assists and three blocked shots as the team snapped a three-game slide. Jamal Crook tacked on 13 points and seven assists, while Brandon Harris converted 4-of-8 shots behind the 3-point line in order to come up with 12 points off the bench.

ULM (4-19, 3-14) was paced by Amos Olatayo who tallied a game-high 18 points, but shot just 6-of-17 from the floor. Trent Mackey pitched in with 13 points and Jayon James 11, but the latter also turned the ball over six times before fouling out. Millaun Brown cleared a game-high 12 rebounds, but still the Warhawks bowed for the 11th time in the last 12 outings.

WKU scored the first points of the night and never looked back, putting up a 34-22 lead at the break even as the Hilltoppers shot just 2-of-11 behind the 3-point line. The visitors connected on only 30.8 percent from the floor over the first 20 minutes of action.

In the second half Western Kentucky left no doubt as the squad knocked down 60.9 percent from the floor and improved immensely from beyond the arc (6- of-9) as it cruised to the comfortable win.

With the victory the Hilltoppers, who overcame 16 turnovers in the contest, have now won all but one of the 10 meetings in the all-time series with ULM.
