Charleston, SC (Sports Network) - Michael Lyons scored a career-high 33 points as the Air Force Falcons defeated The Citadel Bulldogs, 77-70, in the championship game of the All-Military Classic at McAlister Field House.

For The Citadel (1-1), Lawrence Miller scored 20 points and drained six three- pointers. Mike Groselle tallied 17 points and eight rebounds, and C.J. Bray added 14 points and five boards.

The Falcons scored the first eight points of the game, but the Bulldogs eventually took a 30-28 lead into halftime. The Citadel connected on 52.9 percent of its shots in the opening frame, but its lead could have been larger considering it committed 11 turnovers in the first 20 minutes.

The Falcons won despite being outrebounded, 30-17.
