Recap: IUPUI vs. Bowling Green

Ann Arbor, MI (Sports Network) - Mitchell Patton scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the IUPUI Jaguars downed the Bowling Green Falcons, 80-66, in regional round action of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Crisler Center.

Greg Rice tallied 21 points and Donovan Gibbs also recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Jaguars (2-1). Jordan Shanklin came off the bench to drain three three-pointers en route to 12 points

For Bowling Green (1-2), Jordon Crawford scored 24 points on 10-of-19 from the field. A'uston Calhoun put up 19 points and a team-high six rebounds.

IUPUI trailed by as many as 11 in the first half but climbed back to make its deficit just one, 37-36, heading into intermission.

The Jaguars were red-hot from the floor after halftime, making 15-of-21 field goals in the second half to pull away from the Falcons.

Bowling Green shot just 40.9 percent from the field in the game and it was outrebounded, 38 to 27.
