Recap: Lehigh vs. Penn

Bethlehem, PA (Sports Network) - Gabe Knutson recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds as he helped guide the Lehigh Mountain Hawks to a 73-66 win over the Penn Quakers in consolation round action of the NIT Season Tip- Off at Stabler Arena.

C.J. McCollum led all scorers with 21 points for Lehigh (3-2), shooting 8- of-19 from the floor, while Mackey McKnight and Holden Greiner contributed 15 and 13 points, respectively.

The Quakers (1-5) were paced by Fran Dougherty who registered a double-double of his own with 17 points and 10 rebounds before picking up his fifth personal foul.

Penn led by as many as four points in the first half, shooting 50.0 percent from the field, but it was Lehigh that moved out to a 32-31 advantage at the break, even with the hosts shooting just 3-of-11 behind the three-point line.

In the second half the Mountain Hawks again had problems shooting from beyond the arc (1-of-4), but the team was able to surge ahead thanks to an 18-of-23 shooting performance at the free-throw line, en route to the seven-point triumph.

The Quakers were outscored 21-13 at the charity stripe and turned the ball over 18 times, miscues that Lehigh converted into 17 points.
