Recap: Quinnipiac vs. George Mason

St. Thomas, VI (Sports Network) - Sherrod Wright scored 14 points and brought down seven rebounds as the George Mason Patriots secured third place in the Paradise Jam with a 74-58 win over the Quinnipiac Bobcats at the Virginia Islands Sports and Fitness Center.

Anali Okoloji added 12 points for George Mason (3-2).

Dave Johnson scored 12 points and Zaid Hearst added 11 for Quinnipiac (2-2). Ousmane Drame brought down 11 rebounds and was a point shy of a double-double.

George Mason came out firing and hit on 50.0 percent of its shots, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, to earn a 34-24 lead at halftime.

The Patriots continued to shoot at a high percentage (15-of-29) in the second half as they cruised to the victory.

Quinnipiac shot just 35.3 percent from the floor and committed a game-high 15 turnovers.
