Recap: Mercer vs. Lipscomb

Macon, GA (Sports Network) - Langston Hall had 12 points and 10 assists to lead the Mercer Bears to an 82-48 rout of the Lipscomb Bison in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament at Hawkins Arena.

Monty Brown shot 4-of-4 from the floor and finished with 11 points for the top-seeded Bears (22-10). Travis Smith and Chris Smith scored 10 points apiece.

Deonte Alexander led Lipscomb (12-18) with 14 points while Martin Smith had 10.

Mercer jumped out to a 23-11 lead early on and led 33-25 at halftime after shooting 54.2 percent from the field.

The Bears extended their lead with a 14-2 run to start the second half and led by double digits for the remainder of the contest. Mercer hit 12-of-24 free throws in the period.

Mercer will face the winner of Jacksonville and USC Upstate in the semifinals.
