Recap: Idaho State vs. Idaho

Pocatello, ID (Sports Network) - Connor Hill recorded a game-high 20 points as the Idaho State Bengals defeated the Idaho Vandals, 75-69, in a BracketBusters showdown at Reed Gym.

Kyle Barone contributed a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Vandals (10-6). Stephen Madison was one board shy of a double-double with 19 points. Mike McChristian added 10 points and five rebounds as Idaho snapped a four-game losing streak

For the Bengals (5-21), Chris Hansen recorded a team-high 19 points. Tomas Sanchez chipped in 18 points and seven assists. Andre Hatchett added 13 points and six rebounds. Melvin Morgan put up 11 points as Idaho State lost for the ninth time in the last 10 games.

The first half ended with Idaho State leading 29-28. The Bengals made eight foul shots compared to the Vandal's two in the period.

In the second half, both teams made 13 attempts from the floor. Idaho State hit four 3-pointers and 10-of-15 foul shots. Idaho took a six-point victory after making six from beyond the arc and 15-of-16 free throw attempts.

Idaho dominated the boards, 45-23, and second chance points, 34-11.
