Recap: Ill-Chicago vs. Bradley

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Walt Lemon Jr. supplied 22 points for the Bradley Braves who defeated the Illinois-Chicago Flames, 63-62, in a BracketBusters meeting at UIC Pavilion.

Lemon Jr, also earned four steals for the Braves (16-13) who got their second win in the last three games. Dyricus Simms-Edwards added 17 points while Tyshon Pickett had 10 points and six rebounds.

Daniel Barnes led the Flames (15-13) with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field as UIC lost its third consecutive game. Marc Brown knocked down a pair of 3-pointers and scored 13 points.

UIC shot 48.1 percent from the field in the first half and outscored the Braves 30-23.

In the second half, Bradley shot just 39.5 percent from the floor but was able to attempt 15 more shots from the field as the Braves outscored the Flames 40-32. Jake Eastman received a pass from Lemon Jr. in the final seconds and scored the game winning basket with under a second left on the clock to give Bradley the 63-62 win.

The Braves scored 13 second-chance points and flipped the Flames' 14 turnovers into 20 points.
