Recap: IUPUI vs. Milwaukee

Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - A layup by Jordan Aaron with 14 seconds left to force a second overtime was key as the Milwaukee Panthers defeated the IUPUI Jaguars, 95-88, in double-overtime in a BracketBusters event at the Jungle.

Aaron recorded a game-high 28 points for the Panthers (8-22). Demetrius Harris was one-rebound shy of a double-double with 21 points. Paris Gulley chipped in 20 points and seven rebounds. J.J. Panoske added 11 points and five boards as Milwaukee won a second consecutive game.

For the Jaguars (6-23), Greg Rice recorded a team-high 23 points along with seven rebounds. Sean Esposito contributed 22 points, seven boards and seven assists. Mitchell Patton was two boards shy of a double-double with 11 points. Donovan Gibbs was one-point shy of a double-double with a game-high 15 rebounds. P.J. Hubert added 16 points as IUPUI lost its 13th straight.

In the first half, IUPUI was held to a mere 4-of-12 beyond the arc. Milwaukee made 9-of-18 from long-range, en route to a 37-33 advantage at the break

With less than a minute to play in the second half Hubert hit a 3-pointer and neither team scored the rest of the way to force overtime.

In the first overtime period, IUPUI led by two points with 37 seconds left. Jordan Aaron made his layup for Milwaukee to force a second overtime.

IUPUI was held to a mere 1-of-8 from the floor in the second overtime. Milwaukee made 2-of-4 from the floor and 5-of-7 from the foul-line to take the seven-point victory.

Milwaukee dominated in bench points, 44-7, and was 13-of-32 from beyond the arc.
