Recap: Baylor vs. Arizona State

Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Pierre Jackson finished with 26 points and a career-high 16 assists, as the Baylor Bears held off the Arizona State Sun Devils, 89-86, in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament.

Corey Jefferson registered 21 points, six rebounds and three blocks for the Bears (20-14), who will face either Robert Morris or Providence in next week's quarterfinals.

Brady Heslip scored 14 points and Isaiah Austin had 13 with six boards for Baylor, which shot 49.2 percent and made enough free throws down the stretch.

Carrick Felix logged 23 points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Arizona State (22-13), which led 31-29 at halftime.

Jahii Carson contributed 20 points, six boards and five assists in defeat.
