Recap: Texas A&M vs. South Carolina

College Station, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Jamal Jones tallied 22 points as the Texas A&M Aggies beat the South Carolina Gamecocks 75-67 in an SEC tilt at Reed Arena.

Shawn Smith logged 14 points for the Aggies (12-4, 3-0 SEC), who won their fourth consecutive game. Davonte Fitzgerald added 13 points.

Brenton Williams paced the Gamecocks (7-9, 0-3). with 14 points. Duane Notice chipped in 12 points in the team's third straight loss.

South Carolina shot 50 percent from the floor and went 8-of-9 from the free- throw line in the first half en route to a slim 39-38 lead at the break. The Aggies also connected on 50 percent of their field goal attempts, including 4- of-8 from 3-point range, but had four fewer field goal attempts than South Carolina.

The Aggies came out of the break on fire, draining 62.5 percent of their field goal tries in the second period to pull past the Gamecocks, who dipped to 42.9 percent shooting in the frame.

Texas A&M was able to capitalize on South Carolina's miscues by outscoring the visitors 18-10 in points off turnovers.
