Recap: Auburn vs. Boston College

Auburn, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - KT Harrell pumped in 29 points to lead the Auburn Tigers to a 77-67 victory over the Boston College Eagles in non- conference action at Auburn Arena.

Chris Denson chipped in 15 points and four assists for the Tigers (6-3) in their second consecutive win. Tahj Shamsid-Deen added 14 points while Allen Payne pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

The Eagles (4-8) lost for the fourth time in five games despite a stellar performance by Olivier Hanlan, who finished with 28 points on 8-of-14 efficiency from the field. Ryan Anderson scored 11 points and corralled six boards for Boston College in the setback.

Auburn took control in the early stages of the contest and knocked down 8- of-14 attempts from beyond the arc in the first half to build a 37-24 lead by halftime. The Eagles were limited to 8-of-19 shooting from the field in the opening 20 minutes of the tilt.

Boston College managed to narrow the deficit after the break by hitting on 44.4 percent of its field goal attempts. The Tigers converted 14-of-17 tries at the free-throw line in the second period to arrive at the 10-point decision.

Despite the loss, the Eagles outrebounded Auburn, 34-26. Boston College was unable to overcome its 13 turnovers, which the Tigers turned into 15 points. Auburn never trailed in the contest.
