Recap: Boston College vs. Toledo

Chestnut Hill, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Julius Brown registered a double- double with 23 points and 10 assists to lift the Toledo Rockets to a 95-92 decision over the Boston College Eagles in non-conference matchup as part of the 2K Sports Classic.

Justin Drummond added 20 points and five rebounds for Toledo (2-0), which also received 17 points from Nathan Boothe. J.D. Weatherspoon chipped in 13 points to help the Rockets remain undefeated.

Olivier Hanlan paced the Eagles (0-3) with 18 points and six assists while Joe Rahon and Ryan Anderson scored 15 points apiece. Garland Owens netted 12 points and Patrick Heckmann had 10 points before fouling out.

Boston College shot 51.6 percent from the field and converted all 13 of its free-throw attempts in the opening 20 minutes en route to a 48-40 halftime lead. The Rockets converted 48.5 percent of its shots from the floor and 7- of-8 at the charity stripe in the first half.

Toledo heated up after the break to knock down 69.6 percent of its shots from the field while also adding 22 more points at the free-throw line. The Eagles trailed by three points in the closing seconds and had possession of the ball, but Matt Smith fouled Anderson to prevent the hosts from attempting a shot from beyond the arc to even the score.

Both sides took care of the ball as Toledo finished with 13 assists to six turnovers while the Eagles tallied 14 assists with 10 miscues. Boston College is now 0-3 for the first time since the 1963-64 campaign.
