Recap: Florida State vs. Maryland

Tallahassee, FL ( - Ian Miller came off the bench to score a game-high 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting as the Florida State Seminoles raced to an 85-61 win over the Maryland Terrapins in Atlantic Coast Conference play at the Tucker Center.

Six of Miller's seven shots came from behind the 3-point arc. He added five rebounds and five assists for Florida State (11-4, 2-1 ACC). Okaro White added 15 points and eight rebounds, while Aaron Thomas scored 14. Devon Bookert chipped in 12 points and six rebounds. The Seminoles have won six of their last seven games.

Dez Wells scored 15 points and hit 9-of-10 from the free-throw line for Maryland (10-7, 2-2). Nick Faust netted 14 points off the bench before fouling out, and Jake Layman contributed 11.

Florida State dominated the first half of play, shooting 50 percent from the floor, including 10-of-15 from 3-point range, and taking a 42-22 lead into halftime. Maryland struggled shooting the ball in the first period, hitting just 28.6 percent of its shots.

The Seminoles didn't let up an inch, hitting another 50 percent of its shots to the Terps' 36.7 percent in the second frame. Maryland finished the game 3- of-18 from 3-point distance.

Florida State had the edge in 3-point field goals in the game, 16-3, and in bench points, 44-18.
