Recap: Florida State vs. North Carolina

Tallahassee, FL ( - Kennedy Meeks shot a blistering 11-of-12 from the field for 23 points, as the North Carolina Tar Heels came from behind to defeat the Florida State Seminoles, 81-75, in an Atlantic Coast Conference tilt at the Donald L. Tucker Center.

Meeks also grabbed seven rebounds for UNC (18-7, 8-4 ACC), which extended its season-long winning streak to seven games. Marcus Paige scored 20 points and dished out seven assists, Brice Johnson tallied a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds and J.P. Tokoto added 10 points.

For FSU (15-11, 6-8), losers of three of its last four, Ian Miller put up 22 points on 5-of-8 from 3-point range, while Montay Brandon and Aaron Thomas netted 18 and 16 points, respectively.

FSU began the game on a 9-0 run and led by as many as 15 in the opening stanza, but UNC closed the gap and eventually went into intermission trailing by just three, 36-33.

The Tar Heels tied the game at 55 midway through the second half on a Desmond Hubert dunk and proceeded to go on a 9-2 run to take control. They held off the Seminoles in the final 30 seconds by shooting 7-of-8 at the free-throw line.

UNC shot 51.6 percent from the field and won the rebounding battle, 42-32.

The win marked head coach Roy Williams' 300th at UNC.
