Recap: Georgia Tech vs. Dayton
Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Devin Oliver and Jordan Sibert both scored 20 points as the Dayton Flyers took down the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 82-72, in a non-conference matchup at McCamish Pavilion.
Also scoring in double figures for the Flyers (4-0) were reserves Vee Sanford and Devon Scott with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
The Yellow Jackets (3-1) were paced by Daniel Miller with 20 points and seven rebounds, followed by Marcus Georges-Hunt with 16 points in the losing cause. Trae Golden tacked on 13 points and Kammeon Holsey 10 in 19 minutes off the bench.
Georgia Tech opened the game on a 7-0 run and led by as many as nine points in the first half, but the team shot only 3-of-11 behind the 3-point line in the period, allowing the Flyers to take a 39-32 advantage at the break.
In the second half Dayton's lead reached 14 points with just over six minutes left, giving the team enough breathing room to capture the double-digit road victory.
The Yellow Jackets hurt themselves with 19 turnovers, which the visitors traded in for 33 points.Game Notes
