Recap: Maryland vs. Marist

St. Thomas, VI ( - Jake Layman had 16 points and eight rebounds as Maryland routed Marist, 68-43, in the quarterfinals of the Paradise Jam.

Charles Mitchell added 12 points and eight boards off the bench for the Terrapins (2-2), who will play Northern Iowa in the semifinals on Sunday.

Chavaughn Lewis led the Red Foxes (0-5) with 13 points.

Maryland led 26-20 at the break, but Dez Wells and Layman knocked down triples as the Terps began the second half on a 10-0 run to seize control of the contest.

The Terps led by as many as 30 down the stretch.
