Recap: NC State vs. Northwestern

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - T.J. Warren scored 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the NC State Wolfpack posted a 69-48 win over the Northwestern Wildcats as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at PNA Arena.

Lennard Freeman contributed a double-double for the Wolfpack (5-2) with 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Ralston Turner and Jordan Vandenberg chipped in with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

The Wildcats (4-5) were paced by Drew Crawford with his 17 points and nine rebounds, but he shot just 5-of-16 from the floor on the night. Tre Demps pitched in with 12 points in 19 minutes off the bench as Northwestern suffered a third straight setback.

NC State's defense held the visitors to a mere six field goals in the first half, resulting in a paltry 24.0 percent accuracy and a 31-20 deficit at the break.

Northwestern was only slightly better over the final 20 minutes of action with seven field goals, en route to the 21-point loss.

The Wolfpack outscored Northwestern in the paint by a 38-10 margin.
