Recap: NC State vs. Virginia

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Joe Harris and Mike Tobey each scored 16 points and the Virginia Cavaliers crushed the NC State Wolfpack, 76-45, in Atlantic Coast Conference play at PNC Arena.

Malcolm Brogdon netted 13 points for the Cavaliers (12-4, 3-0 ACC), who are on a three-game winning streak. Akil Mitchell brought down 12 rebounds.

Desmond Lee and Ralston Turner both scored 10 points for the Wolfpack (11-5, 1-2), who have lost three of their last five. They were the only two of the team's players in double figures.

The Cavaliers burst out of the gate and shot 60 percent from the field in the opening half. At the other end, the Wolfpack shot 36 percent, knocking down just seven field goals to go into halftime down 48-25.

Things only got worse for NC State in the second half, as it shot a miserable 23.1 percent, making just six field goals. Though Virginia shot only 34.4 percent, they put the game well out of reach, leading by as many as 33 points with a minute remaining.

The Cavaliers outscored the Wolfpack 22-8 on points off turnovers, 38-16 in the paint and also out-rebounded the hosts. 40-28.
