Recap: Wake Forest vs. NC State

Winston-Salem, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Codi Miller-McIntyre got a shot to fall with four seconds remaining to propel the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to a 70-69 triumph over the NC State Wolfpack in an ACC thriller at Joel Coliseum.

Miller-McIntyre finished with 20 points for Wake Forest (12-5, 2-2 ACC), which ended a two-game slide with the win. Devin Thomas added 16 points, Arnaud Adala Moto had a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds off the bench and Tyler Cavanaugh chipped in 10 points.

T.J. Warren netted a game-high 22 points before fouling out for NC State (11-6, 1-3), which has lost three of its last four. Ralston Turner tacked on 11 points and Jordan Vandenberg tallied 10.

NC State entered the intermission, leading 43-35. The Wolfpack shot 51.6 percent from the floor in the first period and limited Wake Forest to only nine field goals.

The Demon Deacons came roaring back in the second frame by connecting on 55.6 percent from the field, while holding NC State to 29.2 percent shooting. However, the Wolfpack held a 69-68 lead with 10 seconds to play after a pair of free throws from Desmond Lee. The advantage would not last, as Miller- McIntyre hit his game-winner just six seconds later.

NC State lost despite a 34-25 advantage on the boards. Wake Forest outscored the Wolfpack 28-21 from the charity stripe.
