Recap: North Carolina vs. UNC Greensboro

Chapel Hill, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Brice Johnson came off the bench to score 14 points as the North Carolina Tar Heels made easy work of the UNC Greensboro Spartans, 81-50, in an intrastate matchup at the Smith Center.

James Michael McAdoo stuffed the stat sheet 13 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two blocks for UNC (6-2). Marcus Paige added 12 points and eight assists, while Kennedy Meeks put up 12 points and eight rebounds. Nate Britt added 11 points for the home team.

For UNCG (4-5), Kayel Locke and Kyle Cain both scored 13 points, with Cain also grabbing eight rebounds.

UNC dominated the first half, shooting 17-of-36 from the field (.472) compared to just 6-of-21 for UNCG (.286). The Tar Heels carried a 44-14 lead into intermission.

Although the Spartans improved their field goal percentage to .500 after halftime, the Tar Heels' kept pace by draining 15-of-30 from the floor as they cruised to victory.

UNC held convincing advantages in both the rebounding (46-28) and turnover (21-13) battles.
