Recap: Pittsburgh vs. Lehigh

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Talib Zanna registered a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds as the Pittsburgh Panthers posted a 77-58 win over the Lehigh Mountain Hawks as part of the Legends Classic at the Petersen Events Center.

Zanna, who did his damage in just 25 minutes, knocked down all but one of his 10 field goal attempts for the Panthers (4-0). Also scoring in double figures were Lamar Patterson and Durand Johnson with 17 and 15 points, respectively. James Robinson scored just two points on 1-of-4 shooting, but made up for it with 11 assists.

The Mountain Hawks (1-4), losers of three in a row, were paced by Tim Kempton who tallied 20 points.

Connecting on just nine of 27 field goal attempts in the first half, Lehigh found itself with a 47-23 deficit at the break. The visitors failed on all but one of seven shots behind the 3-point line, while Pittsburgh connected on 7- of-14 from long distance in the period.

In the second half the Mountain Hawks converted 60.0 percent from the floor, but by then it was too little, too late in the lopsided setback.

The Panthers not only shot 11-of-26 (.423) beyond the arc, they also crushed Lehigh on the glass, 44-21.
