Recap: Indiana vs. Evansville

Bloomington, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Noah Vonleh registered a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Indiana Hoosiers crushed the Evansville Purple Aces, 77-46, in non-conference play at Assembly Hall.

Also scoring in double figures for the Hoosiers (6-1) were Jeremy Hollowell with 18 points in just 17 minutes off the bench, followed by Kevin Ferrell with 10, although the latter shot just 4-of-12 from the floor on the night.

The Purple Aces (5-1) were paced by D.J. Balentine with 14 points, but he too struggled with his shot, hitting only 5-of-17 from the floor and missing all five chance behind the 3-point line. Duane Gibson pitched in with 10 points.

Both teams had trouble finding the basket in the first half, with Evansville making just 7-of-27 shots, including 1-of-6 beyond the arc, en route to a 33-19 deficit at the break. Indiana managed to convert only 38.5 percent from the floor and matched the Aces on the perimeter.

In the second half the visitors connected on a total of nine field goals, allowing the Hoosiers to run away with the win.

Indiana overcame 16 turnovers by crushing the Purple Aces on the glass, 58-30.
