Recap: Indiana vs. Kennesaw St

Bloomington, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Kevin Ferrell scored 25 points and handed out five assists as the Indiana Hoosiers coasted to a 90-66 victory over the Kennesaw State Owls in a non-conference tilt at Assembly Hall.

Will Sheehey added 15 points for Indiana (10-3) while Noah Vonleh tallied 14 points and nine rebounds in 19 minutes before fouling out. Troy Williams made an impact on the defensive end of the floor with four steals as the Hoosiers picked up their second consecutive win.

Orlando Coleman paced the Owls (3-10) with 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field. Delbert Love chipped in 13 points and Myles Hamilton contributed seven points and the same number of assists off the bench for Kennesaw State in its fourth straight setback.

The Hoosiers used a 10-0 run to go on top, 16-6, by the 14:25 mark of the first period and never looked back. Indiana connected on 60.7 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half before it took a 43-25 lead into the intermission. The Owls were limited to just 30.6 percent shooting from the floor in the opening 20 minutes of the contest.

Kennesaw State heated up after the break to hit on 48.3 percent of its field goal tries, but the Hoosiers extended their lead by converting 17-of-24 attempts at the free-throw line in the second stanza.

Indiana's strong interior play helped it outscore the Owls, 58-26, in the paint and finish the contest with a 41-29 edge in the rebounding battle. The Hoosiers improved to 9-0 at Assembly Hall with the decision.
