Recap: Minnesota vs. Indiana

Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - DeAndre Mathieu logged 16 points and five assists as the Minnesota Golden Gophers defeated the Indiana Hoosiers, 66-60, in a Big Ten Conference clash at Williams arena.

Maurice Walker and Andre Hollins both scored in double figures with 14 and 10 points respectively, with Walker clearing eight boards for the Golden Gophers (16-8, 5-6 Big Ten), who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Yogi Ferrell scored 14 points for the Hoosiers (14-9, 4-6), who have lost two of their last three. Noah Vonleh registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Troy Williams and Will Sheehey each had 11 points.

Indiana made 42.9 percent of its shots from the floor in the first half and led 36-30 at the intermission. Minnesota connected on 41.9 percent of its field goal attempts and turned the ball over seven times.

The Golden Gophers shot 48.1 percent from the field in the second frame. With 5:24 left to play, the two teams were tied at 56. From that point, Minnesota went on a 10-4 run to close out the game.

Minnesota dominated inside as it outscored the Hoosiers, 40-26, in the paint. The Gophers also had the edge in bench points, 24-12.
