Recap: Iowa vs. Nebraska Omaha

Iowa City, IA (SportsNetwork.com) - Aaron White had a double-double and Roy Devyn Marble scored 15 points as the Iowa Hawkeyes posted an 83-75 victory over the Nebraska Omaha Mavericks in a non-conference tilt at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

White finished with 20 points and 15 rebounds and Devyn Marble contributed five boards and four assists for Iowa (2-0). Zach McCabe (12 points) and Anthony Clemmons (11) each scored in double figures off the bench.

For Nebraska Omaha (1-1) CJ Carter led the way with 22 points. Devin Patterson added 13 points and four steals and John Karhoff and Justin Simmons each chipped in 11 points.

It was the Mavericks that led, 43-36, at intermission after shooting 44.4 percent from the floor while Iowa connected on just 10-of-29 field goal attempts.

After the break the Hawkeyes improved to 40.7 percent shooting but the major difference was a 23-5 advantage for Iowa on points from the free throw line. The Mavericks didn't help themselves by shooting just 34.3 percent over the final 20 minutes.

Iowa had a 49-37 edge on the glass. Nebraska Omaha outscored the Hawkeyes, 24-9, from beyond the arc.
