Recap: Michigan vs. Northwestern

Ann Arbor, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Nik Stauskas scored 18 points as the Michigan Wolverines crushed the Northwestern Wildcats, 74-51, in Big Ten Conference play at Crisler Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for Michigan (10-4, 2-0 Big Ten) were Glenn Robinson III and Derrick Walton Jr. with 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Jordan Morgan accounted for eight points and eight rebounds for a squad that has won four straight.

The Wildcats (7-8, 0-2), losers of three in a row, were paced by Drew Crawford with his 17 points, although he shot just 2-of-8 behind the 3-point line. Alex Olah contributed 12 points and five rebounds in the setback.

Despite converting only 1-of-8 behind the 3-point line in the first half, Michigan still made good on an even 50 percent from the floor overall, leading the team to a 31-24 advantage at the break,

In addition to limiting the visitors to only nine field goals over the final 20 minutes of action, the Wolverines converted 53.8 percent of their own shots from the floor, including 5-of-10 on the perimeter, en route to the comfortable victory.

Michigan won the rebounding battle, 33-21, limiting Northwestern to just four boards at the offensive end of the floor.
