Recap: SMU vs. TCU

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Nic Moore scored 13 points to go with eight rebounds as he led Larry Brown's SMU Mustangs over the Horned Frogs of TCU, 69-61, at American Airlines Center.

Moore knocked down three 3-pointers and led the Mustangs (1-0) with four assists, while Ryan Manuel contributed 12 points and Keith Frazier added 11 off the bench, the latter making good on 3-of-5 shots from beyond the arc.

Brandon Parrish was the lone double-digit scorer for the Horned Frogs (0-1) as he recorded 13 points and shot 3-of-6 from long range. Kyan Anderson added nine points and dished out a game-high eight assists.

The Horned Frogs were held to just 32.1 percent shooting from the floor in the first half and trailed SMU 30-29 at the break.

In the second half the Mustangs fired off 12 more shots from the field than TCU and outscored the Frogs, 39-32, as a result.

SMU earned its advantage inside, dominating TCU with a 30-10 scoring edge in the paint. The Mustangs also managed 19 second-chance points compared to just six for the Horned Frogs.
