Recap: Texas Tech vs. Northern Ariz

Lubbock, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Robert Turner finished with 21 points as the Texas Tech Red Raiders coasted to an 88-68 victory over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in a non-conference matchup at United Spirit Arena.

Dusty Hannahs tallied 14 points in 20 minutes for TTU (2-0), which also received 14 points and seven rebounds from Jordan Tolbert. Jaye Crockett contributed 12 points, four boards and three assists for the Red Raiders.

Max Jacobsen paced NAU (1-1) with 15 points and seven rebounds. Quinton Upshur added 14 points, Aaseem Dixon scored 11 points and Kris Yanku had 10 points off the bench on 4-of-5 shooting from the field.

The Red Raiders took a 42-35 lead into halftime after they knocked down 7- of-14 shots from beyond the arc in the opening period. NAU converted 44.4 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half.

The Lumberjacks cooled off after halftime to shoot just 39.3 percent from the floor. TTU extended its lead by 13 points in the second stanza as it made 19- of-33 attempts from the field.

The Red Raiders outscored the visitors, 43-24, in the paint and finished with a 33-23 edge in total rebounds. Turner knocked down his first five 3-point attempts en route to his game-high scoring output. Hannahs made four shots from beyond the arc as TTU hit 55 percent of its attempts from behind the 3- point line in the game.
