Recap: Texas Tech vs. TX-San Antonio

Lubbock, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Jaye Crockett scored 17 points to lead the Texas Tech Red Raiders to a 94-64 rout of the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners in non-conference action at United Spirit Arena.

Randy Onwuasor added 15 points and Jordan Tolbert contributed 12 points for Texas Tech (6-2). Aaron Ross tacked on 13 points off the bench.

Phillip Jones (12 points, nine rebounds) and Kaj-Bjorn Sherman (11 points) each did their damage off the bench for UTSA (1-6). Jordan Sims scored 10 points as the only starter in double figures.

Though they shot at a meager 42.3 percent rate from the field in the first period, the Red Raiders ran out to a 37-20 halftime lead by holding the Roadrunners to only five first half field goals.

Texas Tech heated up to 62.2 percent shooting from the floor over the final 20 minutes to coast to victory.

The Red Raiders scored 20 points off of 18 UTSA turnovers and outscored the Roadrunners, 54-32, in the paint.
