Sean Kilpatrick scored 19 points on just 5-of-18 shooting to pace Cincinnati (7-1), which was playing in its first road game of the season. Troy Caupain chipped in 11 points and Justin Jackson chimed in with 10.

New Mexico shot at a 42.9 percent clip in the first half and held the Bearcats to just 26.7 percent shooting. However the Lobos had a 15-point lead in the period slashed to seven points at the break (27-20) as the Bearcats closed the frame on an 8-0 run.
