Recap: Saint Josephs vs. Creighton

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ethan Wragge scored 21 points off the bench as the Creighton Bluejays rallied for an 83-79 win over the Saint Joseph's Hawks in a non-conference battle at Hagan Arena.

Wragge went 7-of-11 from beyond the arc to account for all of his points for Creighton (3-0). Doug McDermott scored 20 points, Devin Brooks added 16 and Grant Gibbs chipped in 11 points and six rebounds to match six assists.

DeAndre Bembry netted 20 points for Saint Joseph's (2-1). Chris Wilson went 6- of-11 from 3-point range to notch 18 points, Langston Galloway tallied 14 points, Ronald Roberts tacked on 13 and Halil Kanacevic had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Both teams shot well in the first half. Saint Joseph's turned in a 53.6 percent performance while Creighton was just off the pace at 51.9 percent. Both teams also hit six 3-pointers in the period but the Hawks had the 45-40 edge at the break.

After halftime the Bluejays continued to shoot well, netting 58.6 percent from the floor and 5-of-10 from beyond the arc. The Hawks let their lead slip away, despite hitting eight 3-pointers in the period, by shooting at a 40.7 percent clip overall.

The two teams combined to score 75 points from 3-point range.
