Recap: Creighton vs. Chicago State

Omaha, NE ( - Doug McDermott scored 24 points in leading the Creighton Bluejays to an easy, 90-58, victory over the Chicago State Cougars in a non-conference matchup at CenturyLink Center Omaha.

Ethan Wragge and Jahenns Manigat each tallied 15 points for Creighton (10-2).

Clarke Rosenberg recorded 14 points to pace Chicago Sate (5-8). Quinton Pippen tacked on 13 points and Matt Ross added 11.

Creighton shot at a 52.2 percent clip, including 10-of-15 from beyond the arc, in the first half. Chicago Sate hit on 7-of-14 from 3-point range, but just 44.8 percent overall and trailed, 45-38, at halftime.

The Bluejays kept up the hot shooting, netting 58.3 percent from the floor in the second half, while the Cougars fell behind by registering just six field goals in the final 20 minutes.

McDermott went 8-of-8 from the free-throw line to set a school record of consecutive foul shots made at 37.
