Recap: Georgetown vs. Northeastern

San Juan, PR (SportsNetwork.com) - Reggie Spencer had 18 points and nine rebounds as the Northeastern Huskies used a big second half to beat the Georgetown Hoyas, 63-56, in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Scott Eatherton added 12 points and 10 boards for the Huskies (2-2), who outscored Georgetown by a 38-20 margin in the second half. David Walker tallied 12 points.

Northeastern will face Charlotte in Friday's semifinals. The 49ers beat Kansas State earlier Thursday.

D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera ended with 14 points for the Hoyas (1-2), who went 3- of-16 from beyond the arc.

Georgetown started the game on a 9-0 run and led throughout the first half, taking a 36-25 lead into the locker room.

Trailing 40-26 early in the second half, the Huskies went on a 14-0 run to tie the game.

The game remained close until Northeastern pulled away in the final two minutes. With the score deadlocked at 56, Walker made two free throws to spark a 7-0 spurt.

T.J. Williams then stole the ball from Nate Lubick and put in a layup for a 60-56 margin with 1:09 remaining. Spencer added a free throw and slam to account for the final margin.
