Recap: South Florida vs. Rutgers

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Kadeem Jack erupted for a game-high 31 points as the Rutgers Scarlet Knights recorded a 79-69 win over the South Florida Bulls in American Athletic Conference play at the Sun Dome.

Also scoring in double figures for the Scarlet Knights (10-14, 4-7 AAC) were Myles Mack and Wally Judge with 15 and 10 points, respectively, the latter adding eight rebounds as the team won for the second time in the last three outings.

The Bulls (12-12, 3-8) were paced by Martino Brock with 17 points off the bench as the bowed for the second time in three contests. Victor Rudd delivered 15 points and seven rebounds, Chris Perry 11 points and John Egbunu 10 before fouling out.

Rutgers led by as many as 14 points less than eight minutes into the first half, but the team shot only 2-of-10 behind the 3-point line in the frame, which allowed USF to draw to within a point at the break, 36-35.

In the second half the visitors made good on an impressive 56.5 percent from the field and 15-of-19 at the free-throw line in order to capture the double- digit win on the road.

USF shot only 2-of-11 from 3-point range on the night.
