Recap: St Johns vs. San Francisco

Queens, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - D'Angelo Harrison led all scorers with 18 points, as the St. John's Red Storm easily defeated the San Francisco Dons, 81-57, in a non-conference tilt at Carnesecca Arena.

JaKarr Sampson poured in 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting for St. John's (7-3). Orlando Sanchez scored 11 points, while Rysheed Jordan put up 10 points.

Mark Tollefsen netted 14 points for the Dons (6-5). Kruize Pinkins chipped in 12 points and six rebounds, while Chris Adams had 11 points.

The Red Storm shot 51.5 percent from the field, including 2-of-8 from 3-point range in the first half, as they carried a 43-31 lead into intermission. San Francisco turned the ball over 10 times, which helped give St. John's nine more field goal attempts than the Dons.

St. John's shooting prowess from the field continued in the second half (.462) as its lead swelled to as many as 28.

St. John's outrebounded the Dons, 35-24, and dominated second-chance points, 16-4. USF was plagued by 21 turnovers, which turned into 27 points for the Red Storm.
