Recap: St Johns vs. Dartmouth

Queens, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Phil Greene IV led all scorers with 16 points, as the St. John's Red Storm dismissed the Dartmouth Big Green, 69-55, in a non-conference bout at Carnesecca Arena.

Greene IV shot 4-of-5 from 3-point range for St. John's (10-8), which snapped a season-long five-game losing streak. JaKarr Sampson netted 13 points, while Orlando Sanchez tallied eight points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.

For Dartmouth (7-8), losers of four straight, Gabas Maldunas scored 13 points and Connor Boehm hauled in 11 rebounds.

Dartmouth actually outshot St. John's from the field in the first half, 42.9 percent to 37 percent, but the Red Storm took a 38-34 lead into intermission by shooting 4-of-7 from beyond the arc and 14-of-16 at the foul line in the opening 20 minutes.

The Red Storm's field goal percentage improved to .414 in the second stanza, and they pulled away with an 18-4 run late in the frame.

The Big Green committed a game-high 15 turnovers, which the Red Storm turned into 22 points.
