Recap: Xavier vs. Miami-Ohio

Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - James Farr scored 11 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in just 16 minutes off the bench as the Xavier Musketeers topped the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 77-51, in non-conference play at the Cintas Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Musketeers (4-0) were Dee Davis with 15 points, Semaj Christon 13 and Matt Stainbrook 10 points in the victory. Jalen Reynolds contributed with 11 rebounds.

The RedHawks (0-3) were paced by Geovonie McKnight, the only player in double figures for the visitors with his 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the floor.

Miami managed to take an early lead in the first half, but that was before Xavier knocked down 53.6 percent from the field and 5-of-10 behind the 3-point line, en route to a 36-24 advantage at the break.

After making only 2-of-12 shots beyond the arc through the first 20 minutes, Miami knocked down just 3-of-11 on the perimeter, allowing the host to grab the 26-point win.

Xavier shot 50.8 percent from the field on the night and also dominated on the glass, 42-25.
