Recap: Arizona State vs. Miami-Ohio

Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Jahii Carson led the way with 18 points and eight assists as the Arizona State Sun Devils dismantled the Miami-Ohio RedHawks, 90-54, at Wells Fargo Arena.

Jermaine Marshall also netted 18 points for ASU (2-0), while Jordan Bachynski recorded his second straight double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds to go with four blocks. Calaen Robinson drained 3-of-4 from beyond the arc for 11 points in 11 minutes off the bench.

For Miami-Ohio (0-2), Reggie Johnson poured in a career-high 24 points on 9- of-16 field goal efficiency. Blake McLimans scored 15 points, but the rest of the RedHawks combined for only 15 points.

The game was tied 11-11 in the early stages of the first half, but ASU pieced together a 20-2 run to separate itself from Miami-Ohio. The Sun Devils shot 50 percent from the field in the opening stanza, as they went into the halftime locker room with a 41-18 lead.

ASU actually improved its field goal shooting to 61.3 percent after intermission, and the RedHawks never got within 17 points of the lead in the second half.

The Sun Devils outmanned Miami-Ohio in the rebounding battle, 48-27, but they finished the contest with a lackluster 4-of-13 showing from the free-throw line.
