Recap: Arizona State vs. Washington

Tempe, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - C.J. Wilcox paced five teammates in double figures with 17 points, as the Washington Huskies downed the Arizona State Sun Devils, 76-65, in the Pac-12 Conference opener for both teams at Wells Fargo Arena.

Andrew Andrews added 14 points for Washington (9-5, 1-0 Pac-12), which has won three in a row. Nigel Williams-Goss netted 12 points for the visitors, while Perris Blackwell and Darin Johnson scored 10 apiece.

For ASU (11-3, 0-1), which snapped a four-game winning streak, Jahii Carson put up 15 points, while Shaquielle McKissic and Jordan Bachynski each poured in 13. Bachynski also blocked six shots for the home team.

Washington dominated the first half, shooting 51.6 percent from the field to ASU's 29 percent, as it led 40-23 heading into halftime.

The Huskies extended their lead to 22 with 4:10 left in the game, and the Sun Devils only managed to make it an 11-point contest with a meaningless 14-2 run to end the game.

Washington won the rebounding battle, 40-34, and held ASU to just 2-of-14 shooting from 3-point range.
