Recap: Columbia vs. Harvard

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Steve Moundou-Missi and Siyani Chambers each netted 22 points as the Harvard Crimson outlasted the Columbia Lions, 88-84, in a double-overtime Ivy League clash at Levien Gymnasium.

Moundou-Missi grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the win for Harvard (19-4, 6-1 Ivy). Wesley Saunders scored 19 points and pulled down seven rebounds, and Laurent Rivard tallied 10. The Crimson have won five of their last six games played.

Alex Rosenberg led all scorers in the game with 34 points on 10-of-17 shooting, adding seven rebounds for Columbia (14-10, 3-4). Maodo Lo contributed 20 points on 5-of-17 shooting, and Cory Osetkowski chipped in 10 with four blocked shots. The Lions have won four of their last five games.

Harvard connected on 41.7 percent of its shots in the first half, and took a slim 30-28 lead into the intermission. Columbia shot 44 percent from the floor, but hit just 2-of-10 from 3-point range in the frame.

The Lions came roaring back in the second half, hitting 54.5 percent of their field goal tries, including 4-of-7 from distance, and connected on 12-of-13 from the free-throw line. The Crimson shot 52 percent from the floor, but went 3-of-11 from 3-point range. With 24 seconds left to play in regulation, Moundou-Missi tipped in an offensive rebound to tie the score at 68 apiece, sending it to overtime.

The teams traded baskets in the first additional period, with Saunders connecting on 1-of-2 free throws with 1:13 left to knot the score at 73-73. Neither team scored in the remaining time, sending it to a second OT period.

In the final overtime, Harvard outscored Columbia, 15-11, for the four-point win on the road.

The Crimson had the edge in points off turnovers, 22-11, and outscored the Lions from the free-throw line, 29-21. Columbia won the battle in points in the paint, 40-24.
