Recap: Washington vs. California

Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Tyrone Wallace tallied 20 points and eight assists to help lead the California Golden Bears to a 72-59 triumph over Washington Huskies in a Pac-12 Conference clash at Alaska Airlines Arena.

Richard Solomon poured in 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field for Cal (17-8, 8-4 Pac-12), which has won three of four, while Justin Cobbs stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds and two steals.

For Washington (14-12, 6-7), which has lost four of five, Andrew Andrews led all scorers with 21 points, Nigel Williams-Goss had 12 points and Perris Blackwell posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Washington took control of the game early, running out to a 27-15 lead with under seven minutes to play in the first half, but Cal ended the frame on a 19-2 run to take a 34-29 lead into intermission.

The Golden Bears' deficit never dipped below five points in the second stanza as they cruised to the 13-point victory.

Cal shot 42.9 percent from the field on the afternoon, compared to just 35.9 percent for Washington, and it scored 20 points off of 14 Huskies' turnovers.
