Recap: Colorado vs. Tenn-Martin

Boulder, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Josh Scott scored 15 points to lead the Colorado Buffaloes to a 91-65 victory over the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks in a non-conference matchup at Coors Events Center.

Scott also tied for a team-high with eight rebounds for Colorado (1-1). Wesley Gordon also had eight rebounds as well s 13 points. Spencer Dinwiddie added 13 points of his own while Xavier Johnson chipped in 12 points.

Terence Smith and Marshun Newell each scored 15 points for Tennessee-Martin (0-2) while Dee Oldham tacked on 11 off the bench.

The Buffaloes led 45-35 at the end of the first half. Colorado connected on 57.7 percent of its shots from the field during the period and also outscored Tennessee-Martin, 12-5, from the free throw line. The Skyhawks shot at just a 35.3 percent clip in the first frame, though they did knock down six shots from beyond the arc.

Colorado kept up the offensive success in the second half when the team shot 60.9 percent from the floor. The Skyhawks added another six 3-pointers but had just 10 total field goals.

Led by Gordon and Scott the Buffaloes had a 46-26 edge on the boards. Tennessee-Martin outscored Colorado, 36-15, from 3-point range.
