Hanover, NH (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Mitola registered a season-high 25 points, as the Dartmouth Big Green outlasted the Penn Quakers, 67-58, in an Ivy League clash at Leede Arena.

Mitola finished two points shy of his career best, shooting 6-of-14 from the field and 9-of-11 from the foul line for Dartmouth (8-9, 1-2 Ivy), which snapped a five-game losing streak. John Golden and Kevin Crescenzi were also solid for the hosts with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

For Penn (4-12, 1-1), Fran Dougherty posted 19 points and nine rebounds, while Miles Cartwright scored 13 and Steve Rennard netted 10.

Penn shot a lofty 57.1 percent from the field in the first half and took a 28-21 lead into intermission. Dartmouth was a dreadful 27.3 percent from the floor but kept the game close by draining four 3-pointers.

The script was flipped after halftime, with Dartmouth shooting 55.6 percent from the field to take control of the game late. The Quakers made 43.8 percent of their shot attempts in the final 20 minutes but were limited to just seven field goals as they dropped the nine-point decision.
